Having had the privilege of living the majority of my life between Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties, along the coast of California, I have come to genuinely appreciate the views of our mountain ranges and the channel islands, especially when the sun is setting. I try to take time every evening to pause and absorb the majesty these masterpieces of land and water mass reflect. I was given liberty by some clients who were visiting Santa Barbara's channel islands to build them a tiny home inspired by the natural beauty of the region. Using a 30ft flatbed trailer frame, I designed and built a modern layout which would optimize views of nature with large windows, slider and eight foot barn-style sliding glass door. across from king size bed nook. I created a large wooden mural on the face of the tiny home as a reflection of the setting sun between the Channel Islands and the Santa Barbara mountains. The work below shows the result.
